About BLEW
Bucks Lacks Enough Wind (BLEW) is a non-political, community based organisation.
BLEW was formed by a group of community-minded individuals to:
- Research the proposals to build a wind farm at Petsoe Manor Farm, near Emberton;
- Encourage dialogue with the developers;
- Inform local people about the plans for the wind farm;
- Provide a platform for consultation and debate;
- Represent the local community at planning meetings.
BLEW is recognised by the planning authorities as a legitimate action group.
BLEW is a firm supporter of renewable energy. However, we believe that this should not be at the expense of our countryside. We feel that the economic case for commercial-scale wind farms does not justify the irreversible impact which their introduction would have on the quality of life for those who live and work nearby.
