Living next to a wind farm
Wednesday, June 7th, 2006Meyersdale is a small town in Pennsylvania (USA) where life has been adversely impacted by the construction of a wind farm. The local people have produced a DVD which is available on request with just over 20 minutes of real-world experience of living next to a wind farm, describing the:
- Visual impact;
- Noise;
- Strobe effect from shadow flicker;
- Severe decline in property value;
- Money-making/tax-avoidance schemes;
- Limited local employment produced by the development.
