How this site was created
This website has been produced using XHTML, CSS and PHP. It should work as intended in any standards-compliant browser, although we’ve only tested it with Mozilla Firefox (v1.5 for Windows and MacOS X, v1.0 for Linux), Safari v2.0, Camino v1.0 and the ubiquitous but non-compliant Microsoft Internet Explorer (v6.0 and v7.0 for Windows).
The website is hosted on ascomi’s Apache/FreeBSD servers and WordPress is used for content management.
Maps were produced from the Ordnance Survey Get-a-map service and were reproduced with kind permission of Ordnance Survey and Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland.
The legal small print was provided by Clickdocs.
Many of the images on this site have been reused with the kind permission of other groups who are campaigning to stop the wholesale vandalism of the British countryside in a cynical ploy to make money whilst appearing to increase our nation’s “green credentials”.
