BLEW are firmly in favour of the concept of renewable energy. However, Emberton is situated in one of the least windy parts of the country and we’d prefer to contribute using renewable energy technologies that are more appropriate to the region.
A wind farm at Emberton is not a viable provider of renewable energy.
With low wind speeds, the proposed industrialisation would not have the capacity to produce sustainable energy. And it would have little or no effect on greenhouse gas emissions.
